Yolanda Perez

Yolanda E. Perez beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt has gone into eternal rest on Saturday, April 21, 2018.

Yolanda was born on October 14, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1963 and went on to get her LVN Degree in 1964 from Del-Mar College. Yolanda married Ramon P. Perez, Jr., in 1965 and relocated to Kingsville, Texas, his hometown where she made her career in nursing and raise their only son Michael E. Perez. She later returned to Del-Mar College where she received her Degree as an RN in 1992. Yolanda was employed by Christus Spohn Kleberg in Kingsville, TX for 35 years.

Yolanda loved to serve her community and was always ready to lend a helping hand for the less fortunate. For many years Yolanda and her husband Ramon did Missionary work in Mexico. She was an active member of Our Lady of Good Counsel where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also an active member with the Altar Society, Caritas Dei Associate and Weavers of Love Soup Kitchen.

Yolanda is preceded in death by her parents Juan G. Escobar and Ruperta Moreno Escobar, two brothers John, Jr. and Antonio Escobar.

Yolanda is survived by her loving and supportive husband of 53 years, Ramon P. Perez, Jr., of Kingsville, TX, her son Michael (Dora) Perez and three grandchildren Juan Ramon, Michael Anthony, and Marcos Alberto all of San Benito, TX, her sister Gloria M. Escobar, brother Robert Escobar, and niece Cristina (Jeff) White.

Celebration of her life will be on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 5 p.m. following a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Funeral Home in Kingsville.

Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Kingsville, TX.

Yolanda's wish was that in lieu of flowers a monetary donation in her honor be made payable to Weavers of Love, Inc., c/o Sister Elizabeth at 913 South 21st. Street Kingsville, Texas 78363
