Yolanda Belmontes

It is with great sadness that the family of Yolanda Molina Belmontes, 93, announce her passing. Born the 18th of March 1929 in Fronton, Texas to Rodolfo Molina and Ofelia Molina. Yolanda graduated from Texas A&I University Kingsville. Yolanda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many people.

Yolanda had a passion for learning and wanted to share that joy with others and made the decision to become a teacher. She taught for 22 years between West Oso, Robstown, and Kingsville ISD. She made a difference in countless lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodolfo Molina and Ofelia Molina, her husband, Octavio Belmontes and her brothers and sisters.

Yolanda is survived by her three children; Velma Soza (Hector) of Agua Dulce, Gilbert Belmontes (Mary Esther) of Kingsville and Ricky Belmontes (Belinda) of Corpus Christi and by her six grandchildren; Ann Lynette Soza Leal (Martin), Bettina Belmontes Piotrowski (Jonathan), Ricky Belmontes, Derek Belmontes, Adell Salazar (Jose) and Jenice Mendietta (Sergio); as well as numerous great grandchildren and her sisters in law Nena Molina and Olga Molina.

Visitation will be held from 5pm-9pm, Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, with a rosary held at 7pm that same evening. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10am Friday, April 15, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
