Walter Lacour

Walter Edward Cookie LaCour, age 85 , a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born June 16, 1929 in Woodsboro, Texas to Loyd LaCour and Mary Stockton LaCour. Mr. LaCour was employed by Celanese Corporation retiring in 1984. Cookie was a member of First Baptist Church and a volunteer for the Bishop City Park Restoration. He officiated in high school football games.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years of marriage, Kathleen LaCour of Bishop one daughter, Mary Grace Klespies and husband Ray of Floresville, Texas one son, Walter Ed LaCour Jr. and wife Jan of Spring Branch, Texas six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Clif Abshier and Bill Stockton officiating.
