Virginia Norris

Virginia Jean Boeker Custer Norris, age 87, a resident of Kingsville, Texas for 70 years, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 in Kingsville. She was born November 30, 1925 in Riviera, Texas to Herbert and Mary Cernock Boeker. Virginia was a Kingsville H.E.B. partner for 37 years retiring in her 38th year of employment. Mrs. Norris was a member of the Kingsville Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert James Custer and two sons, Robert Gene Custer and Gary Lee Custer.
Mrs. Norris is survived by her husband, Roger Norris of Kingsville daughter, Sandra Sue Custer Calkins John of Katy, Texas five grandchildren, Wesley James Custer, Bryan Phillip Custer, Bradley Jason Custer, Melissa Sue Calkins Stelly Chad and Ginger Jo Calkins and six greatgrandchildren, James Andrew Custer, Sean Tyler Custer, Brennan Eugene Custer, Chandler Reed Custer, Connor Charles Stelly and Bennett Lee Stelly.
Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Tim Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Riviera, Texas at Riviera Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
