Victor Vera, Iii

Victor Vera III was born February 3, 1969 in Alice, Texas and was called Home to be with our Lord at 7:39 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.
Beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and entertaining his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to all. Victor was a member of the Ricardo I.S.D. School Board. He was the Friday night football game announcer in Bishop and an avid farmer and rancher. Victor was employed for Valero Refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas for over 23 years. He loved any and all activities involving his children. His family was the center of his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Petra Salinas Vera brother, Cesar Vera paternal grandparents, Victor Sr. and Maria Rios Vera and maternal grandparents, Francisco and Leocadia Barrera Salinas.
Victor will be greatly missed by all. He leaves behind his wife, Magda Leal Vera children, Brandy Lynn Vera, Kasey Cavazos, Victor Vera IV, Juan Cesar JC Vera and Kaitlyn Renee Vera father, Victor Vera Jr. Linda siblings, Esther V. Cruz of La Porte, Texas, Eliza V. Wolfe George of Angleton, Texas, Edwina V. De Los Santos Horacio of San Antonio, Texas, Frank Vera Ana of Corpus Christi, Texas and Eunice V. Gaytan of Ricardo, Texas stepbrother and stepsisters, Ismael Smiley Saenz III Emily, Enriqueta Saenz Roger and L.C. Saenz sistersinlaw, Lisa L. Art Rocha of Laredo, Texas and Velsa L. Carlos Guerra of Hebbronville, Texas parentsinlaw, Juan and Mary Leal 18 nieces and nephews and three greatnephews.
Visitation will take place after 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Gertrudes Catholic Church, 1120 South Eighth Street, Kingsville. Burial will follow at Victor Matias Vera Cemetery FM 1329, Rios, Texas.
