Verna Walters

Verna Mae Walters, age 74, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in Kingsville. She was born January 7, 1939 in Poteet, Texas to Herman Foster and Annie Prasifka Foster. Mrs. Walters was employed as a secretary for Franklin Welding and retired from Texas AM University Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Walters.
Mrs. Walters is survived by one son, James Dwane Walters Mandy of Benavides, Texas three daughters, Donna Rea Richard of Humble, Texas, Judy Ray John and Sheila Grossman Mark, both of Kingsville one sister, Wilma Ivy of San Antonio, Texas 15 grandchildren 8 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Friday, November 1, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Matthews Catholic Cemetery in Jourdanton, Texas.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
