Velma Foster

Velma Irene Foster, age 101, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 in Kingsville. She was born October 14, 1914 in Braman, Oklahoma to A.L. Miller and Ethel Hoffman Miller. Mrs. Foster was a 1936 graduate of Texas A&I College. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Foster was also a member and advisor for Chi Omega Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Foster Sr.; and parents.
Mrs. Foster is survived by one son, Charles L. Foster Jr. (Elaine - deceased) of Port Aransas, Texas; one sister, Donna Renn of Wellington, Kansas; two grandsons, Chuck Foster III and Craig Foster; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Chamberlain Cemetery with Rev. Jim M. Curran officiating.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
