Trinidad G. Cavazos

Trinidad G. Cavazos, an extraordinary woman who dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas. She was 92 years old and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Born on May 22, 1932, in Weslaco, Texas, Trinidad was a guiding light to her family, embodying warmth and compassion that touched the hearts of many. Her commitment to nurturing her loved ones was evident through her career, as she worked as a housekeeper and nanny for the Clements family. From the tender age of 17 until her retirement at 90, she played an integral role in raising their children and their children's children, creating bonds that would last a lifetime.

Trinidad's devotion to her family extended beyond her professional life, as she cherished every moment spent with them. Family gatherings brought her joy, and her children and grandchildren were truly her world. Her legacy of love and care lives on through her surviving family members, including her sons, David (Tracy) Cavazos and Arnold Cavazos, and her grandchildren: Joe David (Katie) Cavazos, Michael (Jannette) Cavazos, Stephanie (Jesse) Mejia, Kenneth (Heather) Cavazos, Deresa Cavazos, Darlene Ortiz, Arnold Cavazos, Aaron Cavazos, Patrick Cavazos, as well as numerous great-grandchildren: Leanna, Kaitlyn, Melina, Jesse Rey, Novalee, Amerie, David, Noah, Joseph, Manuel "Manny," Michael, Renee, Alice, Kitai, Lauren, Madilyn, Oran, Melinda, Lupe, CJ, and Deziree.

Trinidad now rejoins her beloved husband, Manuel Cavazos Jr., with whom she shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage. She also mourned the loss of her son, Jose Manuel Cavazos, and her parents, Jose and Paula Guitron (Buitron). She joins her siblings in rest: her brothers Anastacio Buitron and Pedro Buitron; and sisters, Guadalupe Buentello and Juanita Gutierrez.

A visitation will be held in her honor on February 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas, followed by a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated in her memory on February 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Martin Catholic Church, situated at 715 N 8th St, Kingsville, TX.

Trinidad G. Cavazos will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her unwavering love and nurturing spirit. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
