Thomas “Tom” Warren Robertson, 77, of Havasu Lake CA and Greenacres FL, gained his wings on February 17, 2024. Tom was born December 2, 1946, the second of 11 children of J.O. “Pud” and Mary Christine Robertson in Kingsville, Texas.
Tom deeply loved his family, his many friends and his fur babies Chubby, Max, Ginger and Miss Sweet Potato. He loved helping people and was a passionate American patriot. He was entranced with the moon, the stars and Ancient Aliens, and his collection of yellow iron construction equipment replicas.
His neighbor said it best…“The world was a better place with Tom in it.”
He was a master at welding, well respected for his meticulous work. He worked as a welder and project manager in the oil field, pipelines, and construction industry. He was an inventor, holding a U.S. Patent for his dirt-washing machine, and Factotum.
Tom is survived by his wife Dona Birnbaum, son Tommy (Jen) Robertson and daughter Terese Robertson. Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren Alyssa Robertson, Garet Robertson, Matthew Robertson, Justin Robertson, Joshua Robertson and Dylan Vaughn.
Tom was preceded in death by his deeply beloved grandparents John Hardy and Bertha Lee “Ma” Robertson, his parents J.O. “Pud” and Mary Robertson, sister Geraldine Elizabeth “Jeri” Robertson, brothers Lawrence Gaylord “Gay” Robertson, William Doyle “Willie” Robertson, Johnnie Lee Robertson, and Michael Dean “Red” Robertson, and daughter Shelly Dawn Robertson.
A special acknowledgement and thank you to aide Cannoy Miller for his devoted care of Tom from beginning-to-end of his after-stroke rehabilitation. We doubt if he will ever fully know how very much we appreciate and love him.
