Thomas Anzaldua

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Anzaldua, a beloved husband, father, popo, brother, and friend. Thomas departed from this world on September 25, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Thomas was born on September 8, 1964, in Rosenberg, Texas, to Consuelo Martinez. From an early age, Thomas exhibited qualities that would define him throughout his life - compassion for others and a selflessness. Thomas embarked on a remarkable career path that saw him devote twelve years to Pueblo Tires, always being a workaholic. Everyone knew him as a reliable and trustworthy individual who always went above and beyond to assist anyone in need. Above all he was a great husband and father.  He shared 39 years with his devoted wife Mary Jane Anzaldua. Thomas Anzaldua's reputation as a humble man with a heart of gold was well-known throughout the community. His acts of kindness were countless, and he touched the lives of many through his selfless nature. Whether lending an ear to those in need or offering a helping hand to the less fortunate, he embodied the principles of compassion and empathy.

Thomas is preceded in death by his mother Consuelo Barela; his son Derrick Anzaldua; and his siblings Angel Barela, Chris Anzaldua, Mary B. Cortez, and Brijida B. Gonzalez.

We extend our deepest condolences to his devoted wife Mary Jane Anzaldua; his daughters Tiffany Anzaldua and Savannah (Matthew) Spencer; his siblings Ricky Barela, and Connie (Luis) Torres; grandson Julius Perez; and numerous other members of the family. May they find comfort in their memories during this difficult time.

In commemoration of Thomas's remarkable life, family and friends are invited to attend various events that serve as an opportunity to honor his memory. A visitation will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary on September 29, 2023, beginning at 5:00 PM, followed by a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.
