In loving memory of Teresa M. Esparza, a devoted soul who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. Teresa peacefully departed from this world on March 5th, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born on October 27th, 1922, Teresa led a life filled with simple joys and profound connections. Her career spanned 23 years at RISD, where she dedicated her days to the cafeteria department, providing nourishment and sustenance to our future leaders. Outside of her professional life, Teresa found solace in various hobbies and interests. She was a devout catholic, and part of the Alter Society and also a member of the Guadalupans at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Riviera, TX. She was a skilled seamstress, finding delight in crafting beautiful pieces with her hands. Crocheting, gardening, and even small carpentry projects brought her immense satisfaction and allowed her creative spirit to flourish. Teresa found immense joy in every moment spent with her loved ones, particularly in adoring her grandchildren, and in creating a nurturing and loving environment that will forever be remembered.
In the hearts of those who survive her, Teresa leaves an irreplaceable void. She is reunited in eternity with her late husband Esteban Esparza and 11 siblings. Those who will forever cherish her memory include her children Enedina E. Arena (Robert), Ernesto M. Esparza, and Eliazar M. Esparza; along with grandchildren Stevie Esparza, Jennifer Arena (Michael), and Laurie Cancienne (Drew). Her great-grandchildren Julie Esparza and Roland Esparza will carry forward the essence of her love for generations to come.
A visitation in honor of Teresa will take place on March 11, 2024, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Riviera on March 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Riviera Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
Teresa M. Esparza's presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.
