Teodora Escobar

Teodora "Tolle" M. Escobar, age 88, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born April 1, 1927 in Escobares, Texas to Samuel Moreno and Juana Garza Moreno. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, Kingsville. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and also great-grandmother.
Mrs. Escobar was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Lauro Escobar Sr.; daughter, Rosabel E. Gonzalez; and parents.
She is survived by three sons, Lauro (Magda) Escobar Jr. of Escobares, Texas, Israel Eden (Rosalinda) Escobar Sr. of Falfurrias, Texas and David Noel (Letty) Escobar of Bishop, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Debra (Efrain) Chavez, Veronica (David) Flores, Israel Eden (Debra) Escobar Jr., Luis Lauro Escobar, David Matthew (Marisol) Escobar, Jon Paul Escobar, Barbara Noelle Escobar, Faith Rose Escobar, Lucila Gonzalez and Daniel Gonzalez Jr.; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leonila DeLaPaz and Natalia Alvarez, both of Kingsville.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, Kingsville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Kingsville. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Efrain Chavez, David Flores, Israel Eden Escobar Jr., Luis Lauro Escobar, David Matthew Escobar, Jon Paul Escobar, Edmund Colin, Ruben James Guajardo and Noah Isaiah Guajardo.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
