Sylvia Sarabia

Sylvia Quiones Sarabia, age 67, a resident of Kingsville, Texas and former resident of El Monte, California passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 in Kingsville. She was born March 15, 1946 in Kingsville to Telesforo G. Quiones and Herminia Salinas Quiones. Sylvia made her career working for the Teamsters Labor Union in California until her retirement.
Mrs. Sarabia was preceded in death by her parents one brother, Telesforo Junior S. Quiones and two sisters, Norma Q. Falcon and infant girl Herminia Quiones.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Lee Sarabia of San Gabriel, California one son, Valdemar Sarabia Jr. of Kingsville granddaughter, Taylor Lynne of San Gabriel, California former husband, Valdemar Sarabia of Pennsylvania one sister, Alma Williams Tim of Glendora, California two brothers, Francisco Quiones Patricia and Jesse Quiones Frances, all of Kingsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sylvia loved, laughed and lived a wonderful life surrounded by family, friends and all those she loved.
Visitation will take place after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. Martins Catholic Church with Fr. Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
