In loving memory of Sylvia Garcia, who graced our lives with her kindness and vibrant spirit. Born on September 23, 1951, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sylvia illuminated the lives of those around her through her unwavering dedication to family and community. She departed this world on January 24, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.
Sylvia was known for her warm smile and her commitment to serving others. A dedicated employee at Bray's Bar-B-Que, she fostered connections and friendships that would last a lifetime. Her greatest joy came from her role as a Deaconess, where she touched many hearts through her faith and community service. Sylvia's love for singing in the church choir uplifted souls and added a beautiful melody to the fabric of her community. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she shared it generously with those around her.
Sylvia is survived by her children, Cassandra Cortez and Esteban Garcia V, who will fondly remember their mother's unwavering support and guidance. She took great pride in her grandchildren, Justin (Annabell) Quintanilla, Samantha Rae (Jordan) Westbrook, Savanahjo Cortez, Jordan Garcia, Jay Garcia, Stephanie Negron, and Gavin Garcia, as well as her eight great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Enrique "Ricky" (Cindy) Espinosa, Maria "Tina" (Abel) Garcia, Lydia Dullas, Irene (Steve) Whitefield, Elizabeth (George) Deleon, and Andrea (Ramiro) Moya.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Esteban Garcia Jr., along with her parents Vicente R. Espinosa and Juanita Espinosa, and her brothers Vicente Fernando Espinosa and Ernesto L. Espinosa.
Visitation for Sylvia Garcia will take place on February 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM, both held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary located at 205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville, TX 78363.
