Stephen Turner

Stephen C. Turner, age 76, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Kingsville. He was born January 10, 1941 in Shelby, North Carolina to Clarence Turner and Sarah VanAcken Turner. Mr. Turner made his career in the U.S. Navy retiring after 26 years of service. Afterwards he was employed 21 years for Civil Service and retired in 2007.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Phil Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Turner of Kingsville; and other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Buddy Joyner officiating. At the conclusion of the memorial service, military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Funeral Military Detail will take place outside of the mortuary building.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
