Soila H. Lozano, 85, of Kingsville, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016. She was born on the King Ranch on May 3, 1931 to Guadalupe and Gertrudis Hinojosa. Soila was a loving wife and mother of her six children. She was a long-time member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. She was a founding member of the Columbian Ladies and a member of St. Martin's Altar Society. She was very involved in her children's school activities serving in St. Martin's Catholic School PTA, volunteering and assisting with numerous fundraisers for over 20 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Angelica H. (Chris) Lopez of Premont, Texas and Elma H. (Carlos) Ambriz of Corpus Christi, Texas.
She survived by her beloved husband of 64 years Juan G. Lozano, Sr.; her children, Johnny Lozano Jr. and Fred (Susan) Lozano, both of Edinburg, Texas, Margie (Luis) Salinas of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ernie (Del) Lozano of Chula Vista, CA., Albert (Stacy) Lozano of Hockley, Texas, and Dr. Jeffrey (Roxann) Lozano; one brother, Hector (Elma) Hinojosa of Alice, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte Piper Mortuary Chapel with a rosary to be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church, 715 North 8th Street, Kingsville. Burial to follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
