Johnathan James Lawson, age 29, along with his son, Skylar James Lawson, age 7, and daughter, Rosealee Lynn Lawson, age 6, residents of Riviera, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2017. Johnathan James Lawson was born February 6, 1988 in Morgantown, West Virginia to John H. Lawson and Melinda S. Lawson. Johnathan was employed as a mechanic. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Iraq. He was a member of Praise and Worship Church in Riviera.
Johnathan James Lawson is survived by his wife of nine years, Jennifer Lynn Lawson of Riviera; son, Johnathan James Lawson Jr. also of Riviera; parents; brother, Brandon Lee Lawson; and sister, Stephanie Griffin.
Skylar James Lawson was born November 25, 2009 in Morgantown, West Virginia. He attended Nanny Elementary School in Riviera and was a first grade student. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Lynn Lawson; brother, Johnathan James Lawson Jr.; maternal grandparents, Tammy McIlwain and Julian David Gonzalez, both of Riviera; and paternal grandparents, John H. Lawson and Melinda S. Lawson.
Rosealee Lynn Lawson was born November 17, 2010 in Morgantown, West Virginia. She attended Nanny Elementary School in Riviera and was in kindergarten. She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Lynn Lawson; brother, Johnathan James Lawson Jr.; maternal grandparents, Tammy McIlwain and Julian David Gonzalez, both of Riviera; and paternal grandparents, John H. Lawson and Melinda S. Lawson.
Visitation will be conducted from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A memorial service for Johnathan James Lawson, Skylar James Lawson and Rosealee Lynn Lawson will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rodney officiating.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
