Severiano Garcia Jr.

Mr. Severiano "Tito" Garcia Jr., age 89, went to be with Our Lord on June 15, 2018, with his beloved family at his side. He was born on May 23, 1929 to his parents Severiano Garcia Sr. and Aurelia Narvaez in Kingsville, TX. Severiano served with the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and while serving he married his sweetheart Magdalena Ramirez. After his time in the military he became an industrial engineer with the United States Navy Civil Service Department until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Santana Garcia, and Genaro Garcia.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Magdalena R. Garcia of Kingsville, Texas; 8 children, Robert (Gloria) Garcia of Corpus Christi, TX, Sylvia (Fred) Garza of Corpus Christi, Nelda Echavarria of McAllen, TX, David (Joann) Garcia of San Antonio, TX, Richard R. Garcia of Kingsville, Nora Novak of Greenville SC, Lila Garcia LaValle of Austin, TX, and Loretta (Lew) King of Austin, TX; one brother, Neto (Dietlinde) Garcia of Pensacola, FL; three sisters, Marina Hinojosa of Pensacola, FL. Lydia Movik, Sinton, TX and Gloria Ledford of Buford, GA; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2018 from 4pm to 9pm at the Turcotte Piper Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7pm that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at 10am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Chamberlain Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.
