Samuel Garza

Samuel Jacob Garza skateboarded his way to heaven to be with the Lord on November 24, 2021. He was born in Victoria, Texas and resided in Austin, Texas.

Sam was a gem! He brightened so many lives and brought so many people together. He had a bigger heart than the vast majority of people and left so many people missing the joy he always brought along with him. He left this world too young and unexpectedly.

Sam was devoted to skateboarding and would skateboard to and from his job every day.  He was part of the close-knit community of skateboard enthusiast that helped bring the skate park to Victoria.   He also loved music and playing the guitar.

Donating of himself was just the kind of person he was. He was a harvest organ donor and was able to give other people a second chance in life. He was a very kind and generous person that fed the hungry and sheltered many homeless friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paulita Duarte, and Donato and Eustorgia Garza.

Samuel is survived by his parents Francisco and Yolanda Garza, grandfather Jose Duarte, brother Frankie Garza Jr., niece Daizi Elizabeth Garza, Uncle Eleazar and Aunt Amy Amador, cousins Myranda Amador Bracho and Allyssa Amador and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Drew Blucher, Emily Aguila, Gene Rangel, Hunter Cross, Ryan Roth, Eddie Garcia, JoEric , Pat Rojim L. and Ricardo.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Turcotte- Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Our Lady of Good Counsel. Interment to follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
