Salome Vera Jr.

Salome G. “Salo” Vera passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was born on December 12, 1979, in Kingsville, Tx.  Salo had a big heart and was full of life.  He helped everyone he could, no matter what it was.  Salo loved to spend time at the river, attending reptile shows, and fishing with his family; if you needed him, he was always there. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Salome G. Vera, Sr.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Heather Vera; mother, Noelia Vera; sisters, Maria Consuelo Vera (Augustin Reyes) and Cecilia (Jared) Wingate; sons, Salome G. (Desiree) Vera, III, Ernesto Vera, Isiac Ortega, Luciano (Jennifer) Riojas, Jr., Mark (Victoria) Riojas, and Samson Riojas; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.  A chapel service will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.  Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
