Sally Ann Bounds

Sally Ann Bounds, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on November 22, 2023. She was actively involved in the lives of her family members and cherished every opportunity to be with them. Born on June 14, 1942, in Crosbyton, Texas, Sally was always a source of unwavering support, love, and encouragement for her loved ones. Sally's fondest memories were those spent with her family. Whether it was a joyful celebration or a quiet moment together, she treasured every occasion that brought her loved ones closer. Her presence was instrumental in creating a warm and loving environment for all who knew her.

As a young mother, Sally dedicated herself to community service as a blue bird leader. Later in life, she continued to make an impact by volunteering for the local fire department. Her selflessness and willingness to lend a helping hand earned her the respect and admiration of all who crossed her path. In addition to her community involvement, Sally found joy and fulfillment in various hobbies and interests. She was an active member of a local square dance club. Beyond that, Sally embraced the joys of rural life by raising chickens. The simplicity and beauty of these activities brought her great happiness.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Rachel Edler, grandson Calvin Zumwalt, sister Helen Boggus, and brothers-in-law Tony Bounds and Terry Bounds. Although their absence is deeply felt, their spirits remain alive in the hearts of all who loved them.

Sally's memory will forever live on through the love she shared with her husband Jim Bounds and their children Marion (Jim) Zumwalt, Pamala (Charlie) Ratliff, and Wesley (Virginia) Bounds. She was a devoted grandmother to Ashlee Zumwalt, Shane (Abigail) Zumwalt, Angela Zumwalt, Sally Gayle (Raul) Macias, Amy (Todd) Francis, Kaycee (George) Contreras, Dara Bounds (Devyn), and great-grandmother to Aurora and Amelia Contreras, Raul, Keznee, and Charlie Macias, Jacob and Ben Francis, and Kris, Wesley, Jimmie Wayne, and Jackson Zumwalt. Her presence will also be deeply missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Sally's love knew no bounds as she cherished each family member and embraced the joys of being a part of something bigger.

The memories of Sally's vibrant personality, kind heart, and infectious laughter will forever be cherished by her family. Her unwavering support provided comfort during difficult times and was a source of inspiration for those around her. In her honor, a funeral service will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville on November 30, 2023, at 10:00 am. The interment will take place at Resthaven Cemetery at 11:00 am on the same day.
