Rudolph C. R.C. Valenta, 82, a Bishop, Texas resident passed away on August 4, 2013. He was born August 12, 1930 in Bishop to Rudolph F. 12201942 and Maggie Gerland Valenta 10271981.
R.C. graduated from Bishop High School in 1947. He was in the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict. Rudy as he was known at Celanese retired as a production supervisor after 41 years of service. He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church Bishop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Maggie Valenta, greatgreat nephew, Colin Holst 6142008, and sister, La Verne Valenta Wolter 332008.
R.C. leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 57 years, Geraldine Geri Behrens Valenta, nephew, Dale Wolter Katie of Corpus Christi, Texas, nieces, Judy W. Zimmer Bill of Houston, Texas, Nancy W. Morton Chris of McKinney, Texas, Elaine W. Bennett Randy of Seguin, Texas, great nieces, Jana Holst , Jeff, Kayla Holst, Lori Long Brian, Blaike and Wesley Long, Kailey and Caroline Morton, Brooke Bennett, great nephews, Matthew Morton and Brant Bennett.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at TurcottePiper Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bishop with Rev. Melvin Antonio officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Bishop.
Pallbearers will be, Matthew Morton, Chris Morton, Randy Bennett, Brant Bennett, Bill Zimmer, Jeff Holst, and Brian Long.
