Ruby Boswell

Ruby Sternenberg Boswell passed peacefully on April 5th, 2018 at Homlgreen/Trinity Towers, Corpus Christi TX., at the age of 85.
She is survived by her son, Bill D Boswell of Bishop, daughter, Sue Anne Bleibdrey (Rick) of Bishop, grandchildren, Krista Nix of Houston, Kasey Del Moral (Ernie), and grandchildren Shana and Tytan of Bishop.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob E Boswell.
Ruby was born January 22nd, 1933 in Conroe, TX to Otto and Sallie Sternenberg. She graduated from HM King, in 1951, and attended Texas A&I, Kingsville, TX. She married Bob Boswell in 1953 and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on April 4th, 2018.
Ruby was known for helping and assisting military families at NAS Kingsville for over 28 years. She began her career as a telephone operator, before transferring to the Chaplains office, and retired as a supervisor of Personal Property.
She was an active and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as secretary for many years. She was a member of the NAS Kingsville bowling league, Red Hat Ladies, enjoyed water aerobics, and card games with her Sunday school group. Ruby's hobbies included travelling, shopping, and collecting unique bells to add to her extensive collection.
The viewing is Monday, April 9th from 5:30 - 6:30 at Turcotte Piper in Kingsville, TX. The celebration of life is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10th at 11:00 at First Baptist Church, Bishop, TX with graveside services to follow. The family would like to thank Holmgreen/Trinity Towers for their love, support, and care of our mom and grandmother. Services entrusted to Turcotte Piper Mortuary.
