Ruby Barrientez

Ruby Diaz Barrientez, 78, passed away on March 28, 2021 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on December 8, 1942 in Taft, Texas to Gumnisenda De La Cruz and Domingo Dias. She was a Dental Hygenist and worked as a clerk at Wilsons True Value. She was a loving mother and grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gumnisenda De La Cruz and Domingo Dias, one sister, Esmeralda Reyes and one brother, David Merelez.

She is survived by her son, Joseph (Aleen Atkinson) Barrientez of Kingsville, Texas, 5 grandchildren, Emily Garcia Gardener, Michael Garcia, Patrick Atkinson, Thomas Atkinson, and Eric Ty Barrientez, two brothers, Frank Reyes, and Eusebio Reyes Jr.

Visitation will be held from 12p.m. to 2pm. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 2 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service right after on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
