Ruben Peña

Ruben Peña was called home on September 1, 2021, at the age of 73. He was born in Kingsville, Texas on April 1, 1948 to Benjamin and Inez Peña. Ruben was employed with the King Ranch for a few years. He lived in White Settlement, Texas for his adult life where he raised his children and was a welder by trade. In his latter years he returned to his hometown where he enjoyed fishing in his free time. He passed away from a terminal illness.

He is preceded in death by both his parents; brothers, Oscar Peña, Roy (Gloria) Peña, Carlos (Francis) Peña; and daughter, Fatima Gaytan.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his children, Ruben Peña Jr., Laura Peña, Leslie (Paul) Henderson, Juanita (Daniel) Soto; grandchildren, Andrew, Lydia, Marissa, Larissa, Kaia, Chloe, Sebastian, Rubie and Chevy; great grandchildren, Sophia, Elijah, Arianna, Sergio, Athena, Eris, Amira, Serenity; siblings, Benjamin Peña Jr. (Bootsy), Alma Taylor, Rosie Andrado, Angel Peña, Albert Peña (Mary), Martha Mayorga, Janie (Sonny) Vasquez; numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Services are in the care of Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas.
