Ruben Garcia

Ruben “Turtle” Garcia passed away peacefully at the age of 60 on July 21st, 2022.  Ruben was born July 20th, 1962, in Corpus Christi, TX to Octavio and Elva Garcia. He graduated from Moody Trojan High School. Ruben entered the Service for U.S. Navy from 1981-1985. He worked with Aviation and the T-45 Program for 35 years. He was a member with the Calaveras MC, American Legion, Moose Lodge, and Cancer Treatment Center of America.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 14 years, Brenda Lee Fox- Garcia; son, Justin Garcia; stepsons, Eric Jason Escobedo and Derrick Allan Escobedo; stepdaughter, LeeAndra E. Perez; sisters, Yolanda Sofie Rodriguez, Mary Samano, Magdalina Barraza; brother, Saul Garcia; 9 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial viewing will take place on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Turcotte Piper Mortuary from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel at 1:00 PM to Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, TX for an urn burial. Family requests that all motorcyclists have a full tank of gas before the departure.
