Ruben Estrada

Ruben G. Estrada, age 68, passed away on February 23, 2019 in Bishop, Texas. He was born on June 11, 1950 in Kingsville, Texas to Aurelio and Manuela Garcia Estrada. He served in the United States Army. He was a construction contractor and volunteered his time on benefit events to assist families in bishop. He loved landscaping, fishing, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan.
Ruben is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Mariano Estrada, Benjamin Estrada, Reynaldo Estrada, Joe Estrada, Manuela "Bea" Bumgarner, Lydia Estrada, Teresa Estrada, and Dalia Ledesma.
Ruben is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Santiaga Guajardo Estrada, children, Nelda Jean Reilly (Chris), Jeanette Gonzalez (Tres), Christie Castaneda (Hector), and Ruben Eric Estrada (Roxanne), ten granddaughters, seven grandsons, and three great grandchildren, one brother, Adolfo Estrada, and two sisters, Irene Gutierrez and Josie Torres.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on March 1, 2019 at the St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Tx.
