Rowena Scott

Rowena Lancaster Scott, a resident of Kingsville, Texas, and active member of First Baptist Church, passed away on December 14th, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was born June 3, 1954, in England, and moved to the United States in 1979. After retiring from teaching, she provided loving childcare to the children of The Kids Place and at First Baptist Church, where she also sang in the choir.

Following a period of illness, she later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she enjoyed her new apartment and social activities at Silver Sky at Deer Springs Assisted Living Facility before she fell ill again.
Rowena is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel David Scott in 1998, and is survived by her two daughters, Charlene Scott Gibson of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Melissa Anne Saenz of Kingsville, Texas, as well as three granddaughters.

A viewing will begin Wednesday, December 20th at 9:30 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Kingsville. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20th, at First Baptist Church Kingsville. Entombment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Seaside Memorial Park.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
