Rosita Torres

Rosita M. Torres, age 81, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at her residence. She was born December 29, 1934 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Felix Moreno Sr. and Jovita Gonzalez Moreno. Mrs. Torres was the owner of La Famosa Tortilla Factory in Kingsville which she owned with her husband since 1972.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eliseo M. Torres of Kingsville; five daughters, Dr. Jackie Torres of Corpus Christi, Rosa Maria Torres of Kingsville, Cynthia T. Alaniz (Joe) of Pearland, Texas, Rosario Torres of Corpus Christi and Angelica Torres-Bars (Michael) of Kingsville; one brother, Juan Diaz of Iowa; three sisters, Guadalupe Almos of Corpus Christi, Alejandra Ortiz of Johnson City, Texas and Teresa Bocanegra of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife and mother, and she will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 2016 at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 2731 Comanche Street, Corpus Christi, Texas.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
