Rosemary Newton

Rosemary "Rose" Kerns Newton, age 65, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born August 2, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Marion William Kerns and Isabel Recio Kerns. Mrs. Newton, a florist, was the owner of "Roses By Rose" for many years until her retirement. "Rosemary was very dedicated to her family and children."
Rosemary is survived by her five sons, Johnny R. Campos Jr. (Christy M. Campos) of Kingsville, Texas, Roberto E. DeLeon (Melyn DeLeon) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mark A. Pena (Jennifer M. Pena) of Zapata, Texas, Michael E. Pena (Rachael Pena) of Kingsville, Texas and Arthur V. Newton II of Kingsville, Texas; three daughters, Rosanna Pena of Kingsville, Texas, Isabel Ovalle (Benjamin Ovalle) of Kingsville, Texas, and Amanda Pena of Kingsville, Texas; two sister-in-laws, Angelita Davila of Port Lavaca, Texas and Christina Davila of Corpus Christi, Texas; thirty-one grandchildren, Jaimi Leighann Campos, Michael Ruelas, Alexander Ruelas, Evelyn Mejia, Matthew DeLeon, Jonathon DeLeon, Justin Valadez, Tracy DeLeon, Alexis Valadez, Miranda DeLeon, Natalie DeLeon, Mallory Alvarez, Jordan Morales, Alexandra Orgas, Cassandra Pena, Mark Pena Jr., Janie Pena, Joseph Pena, Kerri Mayorga, Roslyn Hernandez, Michael Pena Jr., Alec Pena, Dion Ward, Devon Ruiz, Monique Pena, Marcus Pena, Benjamin Ovalle Jr., Nicholas Ovalle, Vicente Ovalle, Noah Ovalle, and Rosemary Pena; two great-grandchildren, Meela and Violet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial of cremains will take at Chamberlain Cemetery at a later date.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
