Rogelio Suarez

Rogelio Suarez, age 87, passed away on January 1, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born November 8, 1930 in Harlingen, Texas to Luis Suarez and Gavina Trevino. He worked for the Rail Road Union Pacific for 27 years until his retirement. Rogelio enjoyed getting to spend time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Suarez, both of his parents, one brother, Israel Suarez, and one sister, Maria Luisa Suarez.
He is survived by five children, Rogelio Suarez Jr. (Gracie Carrion), Rosie Suarez (John) Lee, Ralph Suarez, Sylvia (Felix) Gonzalez, and Dora Maria (Albert) Rubio, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery.
