Rogelio Suarez

Rogelio “Roy” Suarez Jr., age 62, passed away on June 20, 2019 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on October 14, 1956 in Kingsville, Texas to Rogelio Suarez Sr. and Dora Alvarez. During his life time he served in the Army for 4 years. Rogelio took great pride in working hard and found enjoyment in his work. He was known for being the “Glassman” in Kingsville, Texas. He also worked for safety glass for 38 years and owned Roy’s Glass & More for 6 years. He was an avid Spurs fan and enjoyed listening to Rock-n-Roll. He was a loving father and loved all his grandchildren very much. He will be greatly missed by his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.

Rogelio is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife, Grace C. Hinojosa; daughters, Erika Carrion (Ricardo Acuna), Melinda Suarez (Yeraldo “Jerry” Parral), and Patricia (John) Jordan; stepsons, Javier (Ann Marie) Hinojosa, Danny (Sofia) Hinojosa, Raul Hinojosa; brother, Ralph Suarez (Cynthia Watson); sisters, Rosie Suarez (John)-Lee, Silva (Felix) Gonzalez, and Dorie (Albert) Rubio; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
