Rodolfo Q. Silguero, Sr., 91, passed away on March 29, 2021 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born August 31, 1929 in Kingsville, Texas to Teresa Quintanilla and Emeterio C. Silguero. He served for two years in the United States Army. Rodolfo was a life-long employee of the King Ranch where he dedicated 45 years, until his retirement in 1990. He worked with the Thoroughbreds as a young man, then went on to work as a cowboy, and then manager of the Bull Development sector until his retirement. Rodolfo was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jose Q. Silguero, Hipolito Q. Silguero, and Emeterio C. Silguero, Jr.
Rodolfo is survived by his wife of 69 years, Maria Consuelo Silguero of Kingsville, Texas; three sons, Rodolfo Q. Silguero, Jr. (Maria Imelda), Robert G. Silguero (Virginia) both of Kingsville, Texas, and Rogelio G. Silguero of Frederick, Maryland; three sisters, Petra Escobedo (Cipriano), Maria Luisa Gerragauch both of Kingsville, Texas, and Lucinda Silguero of Boston, Massachusetts; sister-in-law’s, Elisa Silguero and Albesa Silguero; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
