Rodney Lawson died on October 9, 2013 at the age of 43. He was born on July 10, 1970 in Kingsville to Bob and Leila Lawson. He was employed by Hufco. He was a member of Bay Area Fellowship, Elks Lodge 1926, and BACA Motorcycle Club, and was a Boy Scout and avid Javelina fan. He loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing. The birth of his daughter made him very happy. Rodney comes from a very close knit family. He would help anyone who needed help, and had a unique way of smiling with his eyes.
Survivors include his wife, Angel Alameda of Kingsville, his three daughters, Kylie Rene Briscoe and Leila Danette Lawson, both of Kingsville, and Ashley Danielle Lester of Port Aransas, his parents, Bob and Leila Lawson of Kingsville, his siblings, Terry Kay Lawson, Cheri Lawson, and Curtis Stacie Lawson, all of Kingsville, a grandson, Hansen, a granddaughter, Lylix, nieces and nephews, Michael, Kevin, Chase, Nycole, Cody, Melissa, Jessica, Hannah, Heather, Kaylie, Carley, and Emily, and numerous uncles, aunts, great nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Public visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2013 at TurcottePiper Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at TurcottePiper Mortuary. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
