On Friday, April 30, 2021, we lost a loving husband and father when Roberto G. Garza “Beto”, went to be with the Lord. He was a certified welder by trade. He was a very hard worker and still kept active welding in his backyard playground. He enjoyed dabbling in body repairs and working on used cars. He liked to fix them up for re-sale so he could wheel-n-deal with his prospective buyers. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. He supported his family all his life and enjoyed firing up the barbecue pit for his friends and family. Mr. Garza lived in Bishop, Texas all his life where he met the love of his life, Erlinda. They met when they were 15 years of age, married in 1961, and went on to be married for what would have been 60 years in July. He and his beloved wife did a fantastic job raising 5 successful God loving children.
Roberto is preceded in death by his parents, Sara “Sarita” and Cipriano Garza, Sr., and brothers, Maximilliano “Maxi”, Marcelino, and Cipriano Garza, Jr., and sisters, Eloisa Gonzalez, Hortencia Ortega, and Leonor Carmona.
He is survived by his wife, Erlinda “Linda” Garza, their son, Robert Garza, Jr. (Margarita) of Pasadena, Texas, their daughter Christy Garza Arriola from Dallas, Texas, their daughter Lisa Garza Soza, from Corpus Christi, Texas, their son, Rene Garza from Pearland, TX, and their son, Rudy Garza (Sonia) from Sugarland, TX. Roberto has 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Irma Ortega and brother, Oscar Garza, both from Bishop, TX and by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends which he Loved Dearly.

Our Lord and Savior has gained an awesome welder
to help maintain the Golden Gates of Heaven.
He took one of the best!
Thank you for all the memories that we hold so dear.
It’s going to be a lonesome road without you.
We will miss you every day but you will always live in our hearts.
