Robert Hester

Robert "Bob" Harvey Hester, age 65, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born December 19, 1949 in Kingsville to Robert Bowden Hester and Lillian Davis Hester. Bob attended Ingleside High School, Ingleside, Texas. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era where he served as an Army Ranger Combat Medic from 1969 to 1980. After his honorable discharge, he was employed in apartment maintenance and construction.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bowden Hester. Bob is survived by his mother, Lillian Davis-Myers (George) of Kingsville; two daughters, Cherie Hester Flores (Dwyane) of Kingsville and Cathrine Dawn Hester Cheney (Robert) of Danbury, Texas; four grandchildren, James, Reace, Randall and Dwyane Jr.; and favorite cousin, Jenny Penner of Beaumont, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the First Christian Church, 1900 South Brahma Blvd., Kingsville, with Rev. Terry L. Neel officiating. Full military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Funeral Military Detail will take place outside of the church immediately at the conclusion of the memorial service.
