Rita Bolado Salinas, age 86, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born April 6, 1927 in San Antonio, Texas to Andres Bolado and Jacoba Jimenez Bolado. Mrs. Salinas was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Martins Altar Society and Columbian Ladies. She was also involved in the GI Forum and LULAC.
Mrs. Salinas was preceded in death by her husband, Andres C. Salinas parents two brothers, Andrew Bolado and Manuel Bolado one sister, Lula Bolado Neira grandson, Andres Salinas III and two greatgrandsons, Roberto Rene Munoz Jr. and Nathaniel Ray Soliz Villarreal.
She is survived by five daughters, Rose Marie Farias Eluterio of Corpus Christi, Sandra Cortez Mike, Maria Guadalupe Molina, Lucinda Salinas Contreras and Patricia Soliz Raul, all of Kingsville four sons, Andres L. Salinas Rosaelia, David Salinas Cristina and Rick Salinas Gina, all of Kingsville, and Johnny Ray Salinas of Corpus Christi one sister, Felita Neira of San Antonio, Texas one brother, Frank Bolado of San Antonio 19 grandchildren 34 greatgrandchildren and two greatgreatgrandchildren.
Visitation was after 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary was recited by Deacon Eluterio Farias at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Martins Catholic Church. Burial followed in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were A.B. Cortez and D.C. Salinas.
Active pallbearers were Mark Farias, Lanti Molina, Matthew Contreras, Richie Soliz, Ricky Salinas, Jr. and Johnny Ray Salinas, Jr.
Services were entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
