Rita Guajardo

Rita Vela Guajardo, age 90, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Bishop. She was born August 7, 1923 in Lagarto, Texas to Jesus Vela and Antonia Navarro Vela. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Guajardo Jr. parents and brother, Cesario Vela.
Mrs. Guajardo is survived by six daughters, Maria A. Velasquez Rene, Santiaga Guajardo Estrada Ruben, Cora Rita Flores Ismael and San Juanita Guajardo Mendietta, all of Bishop, Bertha Garza Leo and Nelda Cantu Estevan, both of Kingsville three sons, Gregorio Guajardo III Rachel, Arnulfo Guajardo Diana and Jesus Guajardo, all of Bishop one sister, Maria Veva Flores Jesus of Robstown, Texas 30 grandchildren 71 greatgrandchildren and 10 greatgreatgrandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited by Mr. Carlos Garza Jr. at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 214 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Koziol as celebrant. Burial will follow in Bishop at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
