Rita Garcia

Rita H. Garcia, age 92, a resident of Ramirez, Texas and a former resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her home. She was born November 15, 1922 in Mexico to Praxedis Hernandez and Micaela Cadena Hernandez. Mrs. Garcia was a homemaker and master seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose M. Garcia Sr.; parents; two sons, Jose M. Garcia Jr. and Praxedis Garcia; daughter, Rosa Nelda Ramos; and five brothers, Miguel (Berta) Hernandez, Praxedis Hernandez Jr., Emeterio (Genoveva) Hernandez, Guillermo Hernandez and Tomas Hernandez.
Rita is survived by her children, Olga Flores (Carlos) of San Antonio, Texas, Emerico (Gloria) Garcia of Kingsville, Gerardo Garcia (Olga) of Laredo, Texas, Rita M. DeLaGarza (Jose) of Kingsville, Roel Garcia (Ines) and Joel Garcia (LusElva), both of Ramirez; 29 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Zapata County Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
