Ricardo Castaneda

Ricardo (Ricky) Castaneda, age 34, went to be with Our Lord on February 13, 2019 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on August 11, 1984 to Hector and Nora Castaneda.
Ricky was raised in Kingsville, Texas and was a graduate of H.M. King High School class of 2003. He continued his education at Texas A&M University Kingsville. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and took great pleasure every time they beat the Dallas Cowboys. He was also an avid Lakers fan and loved watching all sports. Ricky mostly enjoyed being with his family and loved family gatherings. He was always a comedian around friends and family, and always made everyone laugh and feel welcome. Ricky will be greatly missed by many. His special and beautiful smile always brought us happiness and will be remembered forever.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Jessica: daughter Desi and sons Ricky Jr and Julian. His parents Hector and Nora Castaneda; sisters Norami Ortiz (Danny) and) Melissa Alvarez (Ruben), and brothers Hector Jr. Castaneda (Christie), Rolando Castaneda (Erika) and Marcos Castaneda (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the St. Gertrude Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
