Reynaldo Rene Hinojosa

Reynaldo Rene Hinojosa earned his eternal wings October 13, 2022, at the age of 74. He was born in Alice, Texas on February 10, 1948, to Abel P. Hinojosa and Emma Hancock Hinojosa. Reynaldo proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam; and retired from Celanse after 28 years of service. Rey enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling with his partner Peggy Rabe Wilson, and handing out secret treats to his grandkids.

Rey is preceded in death by father, Abel P. Hinojosa; mother, Emma Hancock Hinojosa; brothers, Abel Hinojosa Jr., Jose Carlos Hinojosa, and Humberto Hinojosa.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his son, Rene W. (Blythe) Hinojosa; daughter, Patricia Y. Hinojosa; brother, Ricardo H. (Maria) Hinojosa; grandchildren, Thomas, Bristol, Rush, Kasen and Beckett; life partner, Peggy Rabe Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving family members.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, October 20, 2022, a Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 21, 2022, at St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church. A private burial will take place at a later date.
