Rene Perez

Rene R. Perez, 91, passed away on December 14, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on November 14, 1929 in Encino, Texas to Ruperto and Mauricia Perez. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army and retired after working many years for CCAD. He lived a simple life. He enjoyed music and carpentry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Domitilia Perez; brothers, Rodolfo Perez, Reynaldo Perez, Raul Perez, Ramon Perez; and sisters, Maria Santos Perez, Petra Perez, Lupita Pena, Glafira Perez.

Rene is survived by three children, Diana Benavides, Delvia Garza (Modesto), Donna Bunch (Blake); one brother, Rufino Perez; one sister, Antonia Requenez; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, with the rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. that morning. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
