Raymundo Vasquez

Raymundo Vasquez, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, entered eternal rest in the early hours of October 30, 2024.

A kind and gentle spirit, Raymundo was known for his warm smile and friendly wave, making friends wherever he went. He took great pride in his roots from Benavides, Texas, often sharing stories of his upbringing with those he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reynaldo and Leonila Vasquez; his beloved son, Ricardo Vasquez; and four brothers, Roel Vasquez, Raul Vasquez, Rene Vasquez, and Rodolfo Rivera.

Raymundo is survived by his cherished wife, Enedina Vasquez, and his two children, Imelda Cardenas (Gilbert) and Ray Vasquez Jr. (Cindy). He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Melanie Munoz, Ricardo Vasquez II, Amanda Perez, Emily Cardenas, Matthew Vasquez, and Bethany Kuhn, along with eight treasured great-grandchildren.

A visitation to celebrate the life of Raymundo Vasquez will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, with a funeral Mass in his honor starting at 10:30 AM.

Our family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who provided Raymundo with love, compassion, and laughter. Though he is gone, his legacy of love will remain with us always.
