Raul Lopez

Raul "Chato" Lopez, age 89, passed away on March 3, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born August 25, 1927 in Kingsville, Texas to Gregorio Lopez and Eufemia Mendiola. Raul retired as a truck driver and later retired as a maintenance man from Santa Gertrudis Cemetery. He enjoyed BBQing, Golfing, and telling stories. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Carrion Lopez, parents, Gregorio and Eufemia Lopez, sons, Robert and Ruben Lopez.
Raul is survived by his children, one daughter, Angelica Lopez Beecham, three sons, Raul Lopez Jr. (Lucy), Johnny (Cindy) Lopez, Jessie (Melissa) Lopez, one brother, Gregorio Jr., one sister, Ernestina Garcia, 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on March 9, 2017 at 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. At Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on March 10, 2017. Interment followed at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
