Raul "Heater" Hinojosa Jr., age 61, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 in Kingsville. He was born December 30, 1954 in Kingsville to Raul G. Hinojosa Sr. and Elva Carrales Hinojosa. He was a retired Kingsville Naval Air Station Captain for the Fire Department. "Heater" was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mr. Hinojosa was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raul G. Hinojosa Sr.
Raul is survived by his wife of 28 years, Emeteria M. Hinojosa of Kingsville; five sons, Javier Hinojosa (Ann Marie), Danny Hinojosa (Sofia), Raul "Wito" Hinojosa, Martin "Chato" Mata and John Vargas (Jennifer), all of Kingsville; two daughters, Natalie Pena (Michael Garcia) and April Cruz (Amanda), all of Kingsville; mother, Elva C. Hinojosa of George West, Texas; one brother, Oscar Javier Hinojosa (Diana) of Corpus Christi, Texas; five sisters, Amy Hutchinson (Mark Hughes) of George West, Alma Gonzales (Santos) of Kingsville, Sally Pardo (Peter) of Orange Grove, Texas, Elva Alaniz (Ruben) of Kingsville and Norma Tamez (Andy) of Corpus Christi; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Kleberg County Funeral Military Detail.
