Ramiro Luera, age 87, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Kingsville. He was born January 21, 1926 in Chapeno, Texas Starr County to Jesus Luera and Dorotea Pina Luera. Mr. Luera was a selfemployed truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sofia Luera four brothers, Rosendo Luera, Rene Luera, Ruben Luera and Reymundo Luera.
Mr. Luera is survived by three sons, Ramiro Luera Jr. Paula of Diboll, Texas, Adelmo Luera Sr. Yolanda and Oscar Luera Sr. Mary, both of Kingsville three daughters, Gloria Mejia Balmore, Linda Cabrera Tacho deceased and San Juanita Andaverde Jesse, Sr. deceased, all of Kingsville two sisters, Irma De La Paz Cheque of Kingsville and Ramona Gonzalez Joe of Floresville, Texas one brother, Jesus Luera Juanita of Kingsville 20 grandchildren 27 greatgrandchildren numerous greatgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at St. Martins Catholic Church with Fr. Naul Ordonez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Adelmo Luera Flash Jr., Daniel Luera, Jesse Andaverde Jr., Jason Andaverde, Joe Cabrera, Sammy Cabrera, Jesse Luera and Oscar Luera Jr.
