Petra Saldana

Petra Y. Saldana, age 94, a resident of Kingsville, Texas died Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Kingsville. She was born July 10, 1922 to Luis Saldana and Rita Ybarra Saldana. She retired from Hygeia Company and later retired from Kleberg County Hospital. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Luis Saldana and Lupe Saldana; and three sisters, Lilly Gutierrez, Sofia De La Vina and Santitas Saldana.
She is survived by nieces, Grace Moreno, Gloria Young, Sara Valderez and Anna Lee Waller; nephew, Humberto De La Vina; and many other loving family members.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
