Petra Alvarado

Petra S. Alvarado, age 98, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born June 29, 1918 in Bishop to Jose Sandoval and Maria Ortiz Sandoval. Mrs. Alvarado was a volunteer and member of Bishop Senior Center. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Bishop.
Mrs. Alvarado was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro A. Alvarado; two sons, Jose Alvarado and Enrique Alvarado; parents; and grandson, Jaime Alvarado.
She is survived by three daughters, Alicia DeLaRosa of Kingsville, Juanita Crowe of Tennessee and Rose Mary Samudio (Antonio) of Kingsville; one son, Eduardo Alvarado of Robstown, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, Kingsville. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church, Bishop. Burial will follow in Bishop at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
