Oscar Alaniz

Oscar Homero Alaniz, age 66, a resident of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Irving, Texas. He was born November 12, 1948 in Kingsville to Ruben Alaniz and Antonia Cortez Alaniz.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years of marriage, Yolanda M. Alaniz of Grand Prairie; one son, Oscar Wayne Alaniz of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Ruben Alaniz of Kingsville, Texas and Arnoldo Alaniz of Mesquite, Texas; two sisters, Kelly Alaniz and Rosie Hernandez, both of Kingsville; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
