Onesimo Rodriguez

Onesimo Lazos Rodriguez, age 85, a resident of Kingsville, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 26, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 12, 1928 in La Parrita, Texas to Onesimo Rodriguez and Juanita Lazos Rodriguez. He was a tractor operator for Kleberg County Park until his retirement. He always had a smile in his face and loved to make everyone laugh. Onesimo spent countless hours in his garden. He was a fun loving man who will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents first wife, Olivia V. Rodriguez four brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Santos C. Rodriguez of Kingsville one daughter, Idalia R. Cantu Ysidro Gonzales of Riviera, Texas six grandchildren, Mary Ann Cantu Jaime, Arturo O. Perez II Nellie, Kathy DeLeon Ernest, Joseph Perez Laura and Michael Cantu Leah, all of Kingsville, and David Perez Adriana of Harlingen, Texas 17 greatgrandchildren, Erica Marcial Eric, Jessica Solis Kore, Monica Cantu, Oscar Cantu, Sylvia Cantu, Arturo Perez III Erica, Olivia Perez, Raymond Perez, Gabriella Perez, Johnathan Perez, Patricia Lerma Orlando, Victor DeLeon Marissa, Felicia Cadena, Lucas Perez, Dominic Perez, Aleia Cantu and Armando Cantu and 12 greatgreatgrandchildren.
Public visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, December 30, 2013 at Central Baptist Church, 901 East Henrietta Street, Kingsville, with Rev. Servando Torres Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery, Kingsville. Fellowship to follow immediately at Central Baptist Church.
